The Churchill was one of the largest buildings constructed in midtown during the 1960's. The Churchill offers all of the luxury amenities one would expect in this area, including a roof deck, fitness center, and concierge. Most of its units feature protruding balconies.
Philip Birnbaum
The New York Times described Philip Birnbaum, who designed 300 New York buildings and hotels in Miami, as an “almost anonymous architectural hand.” The city-born, Columbia-graduated Birnbaum was known for his space-maximizing approach to residential buildings, as well as his collaboration with the Trump family. When Birnbaum died in 1996, Trump was one of many to memorialize his work: “They all made money. And some were in fact, very good.”
